The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality food according to recipes and kitchen standards, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. This role requires attention to detail and strong multitasking abilities.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion guidelines, and quality standards.
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Assist in food prep, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating proteins.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, and stovetops safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure proper preparation.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries as needed.
- Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
Requirements :
Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role is highly preferred.Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety.Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Team player with a positive attitude and professionalism.Wage : $16 & up, depending on experience
