We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager with proven experience managing industrial mechanical projects including millwright / rigging, process piping, utility piping, and structural steel. The work location for this position will be based on assignment to a project location.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, management, and storage of all project documentation
• Actively participate in project hand-off meetings to ensure important job information is gathered before proceeding into construction phase
• Assist the PM in preparing the construction budget
• Assist in developing and managing the construction schedule
• Develop and write subcontracts and purchase orders as requested
• Contractually and collaboratively manage subcontractors and their related performance
• Collect, organize, and distribute materials and equipment submittals as required
• Create and distribute RFI's for clarification of project specifics
• Work with PM and accounting to resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Collaboratively help price, negotiate, and formalize all changes in project scope
• Work closely with Superintendents on their requests for resources, materials, equipment, etc.
• Manage safety, quality, and productivity of the project
• Ensure jobsite remains clean and orderly
