The Power Platform Consultant will specialize in Power BI to develop advanced dashboards and reports for US Bank's M&A Tool Rebuild. This role focuses on creating real-time, actionable visualizations (e.g., burndown charts, critical paths) to support task tracking and cutover execution, collaborating with the Senior Lead Consultant to ensure data integrity and alignment with Power Platform workflows over a 26-week timeline.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards for real-time task status, burndown charts, critical path analysis, milestones, and ad-hoc reporting for power users.
- Vlidate and refine data models in Dataverse to support Power BI visuals, ensuring compatibility with migrated Access data and real-time updates.
- Assist in data migration reviews, schema validation, and UAT to ensure dashboard accuracy and performance.
- Support training efforts by creating Power BI user guides and collaborating on train-the-trainer sessions for US Bank's team.
- Ensure dashboards meet US Bank's compliance and audit requirements, delivering polished, presentation-ready outputs.
Required Skills and Experience :
Power BI Expertise (3-5 years) : Deep knowledge of Power BI (DAX, data modeling, real-time dataflows, dashboard design), with experience in creating complex visuals like burndown charts, PERT diagrams, and critical paths.Power Platform Integration : Familiarity with Dataverse, Power Apps, and Power Automate to integrate BI with app workflows and real-time data sources.Data Analysis Skills : Strong ability to clean, transform, and validate data (e.g., from Access to Dataverse), handling date / time fields and dependencies for accurate reporting.Project Collaboration : 2+ years working on Power Platform or similar BI projects, partnering with app developers to align data and visuals under tight timelines.Visualization & UX Design : Expertise in designing user-friendly, high-impact dashboards for executive audiences, with an eye for aesthetics and performance optimization.Communication : Ability to document BI processes, train users, and present findings to stakeholders (e.g., US Bank execs).Risk Management : Capacity to address risks like performance bottlenecks, data lag, or scope creep, ensuring delivery within the 20-week plan.Certifications (Preferred) : Microsoft Certified : Power BI Data Analyst, Power Platform Functional Consultant, or equivalent.Nice-to-Have Skills :
