Role Overview :

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to join the SimpliGov team. This person will be responsible for providing internal technical assistance to end-users, maintaining hardware and software systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day technology operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong troubleshooting mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for solving IT problems.

This is a hybrid role that will be required to work from our office in Sacramento, CA for 2-3 days per week, on average.

Responsibilities :

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for desktop, laptop, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment (printers, monitors, docking stations).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems (Windows) and common business applications (Microsoft365, etc)
• Deploy, patch, and update hardware and software using endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM, or equivalent).
• Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory and related systems.
• Assist with workstation imaging, hardware rollouts, and asset inventory management.
• Respond to support tickets via IT ticketing system
• Provide in-person and remote support for end-users across multiple locations.
• Document solutions, maintain technical knowledge base, and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Collaborate with systems and network administrators to support IT infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and participate in IT best practices.
• Assist with occasional in-office responsibilities (building access, deliveries, hardware, supply levels, etc) as needed

The US base salary range for this full-time position begins at $70,000 + benefits. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

SimpliGov participates in the federal government's E-Verify program, which confirms employment authorization of all newly hired employees and most existing employees through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. For new hires, the E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification on or before the first day of work.
