Job Responsibilities :
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care as required by company policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions effectively.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care rendered.
- Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer medications as ordered, including over-the-counter and prescription medications.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to develop individualized Plans of Care for all patients.
- Guide and direct ancillary personnel while maintaining high professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree.Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained.1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is necessary.Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential.Knowledge of quality concepts and principles, with the ability to apply problem-solving techniques to enhance patient care quality improvement.Thank you for considering a career with Albany Medical Center!
