With offices in Minden and Reno, Nevada (our home office is in Tempe, Arizona), we are well placed to serve our clients with Water and Wastewater Infrastructure, Grant Opportunities, Planning, Surveying, Site Development, Hydrology / Hydraulics, Landscape Architecture, Residential Design, Water Resources, Expert Testimony, Hazard Mitigation Planning, and Roadway Maintenance & Design.
We are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Engineer - Civil Engineer to join our team. This position is 40 hours per week in our Minden, NV or Reno, NV offices. This position will work on-site. Relocation assistance is available!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic models using HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, & Flo-2D.
- Prepares hydrologic and hydraulic studies and FEMA permitting; prior floodplain modeling work experience in Douglas County is a preferable.
- Researches jurisdictional drainage requirements for appropriate incorporation into design and construction drawings.
- Oversees production of drainage design and construction drawings using AutoCAD & MicroStation
- Performs data management and prepare exhibits using ArcGIS and QGIS desirable.
- Works as a member of a multi-discipline team.
- Mentors EIT staff regarding hydrologic and hydraulic theory and practice
- Conducts site visits and document findings.
- Writes and coordinates preparation of graphic materials for presentations and documents.
