Automotive Mechanic

Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to join their team. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be part of the engineering department supporting high-performance racing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

Location: Santa Clarita, CA

Pay Range: $25/hr - $35/hr

What's the Job?

• Responsible for building and rebuilding Honda's racing chassis/vehicles and hybrid systems, including quality control checks and final fitting of new parts.
• Perform component sub-assembly or final assembly of new or rebuilt chassis, as well as teardown, inspection, and measurement of components.
• Train new associates in the correct procedures and methods used to produce high-quality race components/products.
• Support objectives for optimal race car performance, reliability, and drivability.
• Perform quality inspections on chassis components and record findings.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair work on automotive and/or heavy equipment.
• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
• Education or certification in Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, or a related field from a post-secondary vocational school is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to perform difficult repairs on all types of automobiles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical repair manuals, circuit diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings.
