A leading food manufacturer is looking for a Production Manager to lead operations focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. In this role, you will coach and develop a high-performing production team, foster a culture that prioritizes food safety, and ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, and sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Drive a safety-first culture and oversee training systems for engagement and technical proficiency.
- Manage production to meet budget and EBIT targets; analyze variances and support capex planning.
- Monitor KPIs, communicate performance, and lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Collaborate with supervisors and operators to identify and implement process improvements.
- Effectively manage a union workforce and maintain strong relationships.
- Ensure timely production of high-quality products and adherence to food safety plans.
- Share best practices with global production teams.
Qualifications :
5+ years of manufacturing management experience in the food industry.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Food Science, or related field preferred.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of processes such as evaporation, spray drying, and packaging.Familiarity with Kosher, FDA, USDA, OSHA, HACCP, GMP standards.Experience in process optimization, change management, and union workforce leadership.
