This position's primary responsibility is to provide support to the department chairs on the fiscal management of the departments' operating budgets. The incumbent will work with the Office Managers/Receptionists and budget unit directors to ensure the prompt and timely processing of procurement paperwork (LPOs, requisitions), receiving reports, travel reimbursements, and hiring paperwork in compliance with the policies of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Office of Finance.
Minimum qualifications include extensive knowledge of general fiscal procedures, working knowledge of information systems and computer software used to prepare correspondence, create reports, and manipulate data such as Banner and Microsoft Office products, working knowledge of general office procedures, working knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques, exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, and demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty and other University personnel.
