Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Estimating and Pricing Specialist (Senior or Lead) to join our team developing estimates for Air Dominance Proprietary programs in Berkeley Missouri . Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 4 and Level 5 Specialists to find the best fit for the position.

In this role you will be responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor material travel etc.) and cost / price proposals for new business activities contract changes and follow-on work. The ideal candidate will combine strong critical thinking problem solving negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.

Position Responsibilities :

Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design build and support stages of the program

Leads development and application of complex estimating and pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques

Guides business proposals evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex or unique requests for proposals and substantiates estimates and pricing

Leads and performs complex analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk financial competitive etc.)

Coordinates and collaborates with proposal teams and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate and substantiation of cost estimates proposals and other related business decision data

Provides fact-finding negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts and coordinate responses through proposal teams

Supports prepares and briefs senior leader-level presentations

Identifies assesses and implements changes to processes tools and techniques to simplify estimating and pricing methodologies and improve cost estimating accuracy

Support compliance activities

BasicQualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

Bachelors Degree or higher

5 years of experience in a business-related role (finance contracts accounting etc.) previous estimating experience required

3 years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using : formulas VLookups pivot tables charts etc

Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

10 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)

Experience using data analysis to drive decision making

Experience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completion

Experience presenting to senior leadership

Experience performing opportunity and risk analysis

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range Level 4 : $119700 - $146300

Summary Pay Range Level 5 : $149400 - $182600
