- Job Title : Practice Assistant
- Location – Hybrid : Seattle, WA 98104 (on-site 4x days + remote 1x day)
- FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT
- Pay Rate : $39–$48 / hr (x1950 for conversion; avg 37.5 hrs / week)
Required Qualifications :
4-5 years of experience supporting lawyers and paralegals with administrative or client-related tasksExperience opening new matters and preparing waiver lettersExperience with corporate legal documents (closing binders, signature page checklists, stock purchase agreements, shareholder agreements, stock certificates, SEC documents, bylaws, articles of incorporation, and minutes)Advanced MS Office & AdobeExperience submitting invoices and managing billing systems (e.g., Chrome River, Aderant, Bill Blast)Document Management System experience (iManage preferred)Strong business acumen; ability to work with cross functional team having effective / professional communication (written & verbal)Day-to-Day : The Practice Assistant will provide high-quality administrative support to a group of corporate partners in the Seattle office. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a proactive approach to managing tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This individual will work alongside a team of 4 Practice Assistants, they will support 3 corporate partners, where their primary responsibilities will be –
Communicate professionally with clients, lawyers, and staff via email, phone, and in person.Draft, format, edit, and proofread documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.Schedule domestic and international travel arrangements.Prepare and process reimbursements, invoices, and check requests.Collect and prepare information for conflict checks, new matter openings, and engagement letters.Apply client-specific billing guidelines to invoices.Manage mail distribution, copying, scanning, and printing tasks.Enter and track work requests in the firm’s workflow system.Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.Assist with time entry, billing, and collections.Operate independently to complete complex assignments accurately and on time.Support non-legal departments as needed and assist with special projects.
