We are currently looking to bring on a full-time surveyor to support the project and wanted to see if you could assist with identifying a qualified candidate.
The role requires strong hands-on field experience, including:
Performing layout and control surveys
Taking accurate shots for horizontal and vertical control (locations and elevations)
Translating field data into laydowns, redlines, and as-built documentation
This is a field-intensive position supporting active construction, so practical experience and reliability are key.
Key Responsibilities
Perform field surveying and layout for structural and civil construction activities
Take accurate horizontal and vertical control shots (locations and elevations)
Establish and verify control points, benchmarks, and offsets
Support construction crews with daily layout needs
Translate field data into:
Laydowns
Redlines
As-built drawings
Verify installed work against design documents and report discrepancies
Coordinate with project management, superintendents, and engineers
Maintain organized and accurate survey records and documentation
Support progress verification and closeout documentation as required
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a field surveyor on construction projects
Strong understanding of:
Construction layout
Elevations, grades, and alignments
As-built documentation practices
Experience working on heavy civil and/or water-wastewater projects preferred
Ability to work full-time on an active construction site
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Reliable transportation and ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience on WWTP, utility, or infrastructure projects
Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications
Ability to communicate effectively with field crews and management
Experience supporting schedule-driven construction environments
