Utility Worker (1st Shift)

Utility workers are responsible for the essential job functions related to keeping their specific department running. Utility workers will be responsible for general duties involving physically handling products, materials, supplies and inspecting products to ensure high quality.

Schedule : 1st Shift : 5 : 00 AM - 1 : 30 PM Saturday-Wednesday

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manual labor including but not limited to :

• Loading HPP torpedoes.
• Unloading HPP torpedoes.
• Standing bottles up at HPP discharge.
• Running the HPP dumper.
• Making / pre-building boxes.
• Bringing in fiber / packaging materials for the lines.
• Loading caps into cap hoppers.
• General labor related to the bottling process.
• General labor related to shipping / pack-out / receiving / inventory, etc.
• Building pallets, lifting, moving / stacking cases up to 50 lbs.
• Other duties as requested.
• Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Working and Environmental Conditions The position requires work in a wet refrigerated manufacturing facility with temperatures below 40F. Additionally, tasks may occasionally be performed in a dry warehouse environment with temperatures reaching up to 85F and / or occasional exposure to freezer warehouse conditions at 10F. Work areas may be tight and will require continuous exposure to noisy environments exceeding 85 dBA. Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes. The role demands the ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and safely.

Physical Demands Must be able to stand and walk for the entirety of the shift. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with continuous motion. Must be able to push / pull 100 lbs with continuous motion. Must be able to navigate manufacturing equipment and facilities including repetitive bending, kneeling, reaching over head with both arms, stooping, squatting, and twisting. Must be able to climb ladders and stairs and work at heights when needed. Must be able to regularly use hands to handle, grasp and control objects with good gripping strength and manual dexterity. Occasional exposure to moving machinery. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical exam.
