Civil Structural Designer

Job Description

ummary : The position of a Civil / Structural Designer I supports the engineering staff through basic drafting and design principles by the collection and analysis of data obtained from the field, from project information for the benefit of our clients using modern drafting & BIM practices. This person would be expected to fulfill the requirements of the position and understand that occasional travel to client’s facilities is required, both locally and out of state, which could include such things as client meetings and / or obtaining data from field observations and measurements.

For entry-level candidates, we are open to this starting off as either part-time or full-time, with the plan to increase to full-time, long-term employment. This is not an internship. This is also a HYBRID position, and remote candidates cannot be considered at this time.

• Must be located in the United States and be legally authorized to work in the country.
• Authorize a background check including verification of past employment, criminal history, and their educational history.
• Be able to submit to a drug test upon offer of position.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Understand modern computer software : MS Office, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, etc.
• Have the willingness to learn how to use field equipment & their practices which include the utilization of GPS surveying & laser scanning equipment.
• Be able to physically maneuver through a client facility that may include tight, but not confined, spaces.
• Be able to commute to the office location.
• Must have reliable, consistent, and punctual work-site attendance.
