Job Description

A Facilities Service Specialist is part of a team that provides various general maintenance and administrative support to our clients which includes facilities but not limited to :

  • Facilities Services may include hanging pictures, office & furniture moves and assembly, communication with key client contacts regarding building / equipment concerns.
  • Performs office related duties including office moves, replicating appearance in new location; set up of new offices with supplies, ensuring all equipment is functional, and office is presentable; departures, removal of all files delivering them to appropriate personnel, packaging of personal items, and ensuring office is presentable for next occupant
  • Inspects all office space daily, noting items to address, including, but not limited to : light outages, boxes in hallways, stains in carpet, marks on walls, askew paintings and pictures, security of doors, empty water coolers, conditions in coffee stations, etc., in order to fix and resolve such issues by the Department.
  • Assists with answering telephones and responding to complaints and requests from office personnel regarding general office conditions, including, but not limited to, heating, ventilation and air conditioning matters, removal of bins or large quantities of boxes and material from offices and hallways, lost keys, damaged locks, malfunctioning furniture and fixtures, etc., to resolve by the Department.
  • Assists in all general building maintenance aspects including but not limited to electrical work, plumbing, painting, flooring, carpentry, and HVAC systems
  • Coordinates and acts as liaison between outside vendors and office personnel with regard to general building engineering and maintenance matters.
  • Assists with setting up of offices of new partners and personnel, relocation of offices within the firm, moving furniture and contents, boxes, files, documents, miscellaneous objects, packing and unpacking of such material, clean-up and removal of contents of offices of departing personnel, etc., on behalf of the Department.
  • Ensures new hires have required furniture, equipment and supplies
  • General clerk and office service requests

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 year work experience in a customer services field
  • Ability to multitask with attention to detail
  • Ability to resolve issues with professionalism and tact
  • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater
  • Ability to grasp, lift or carry packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 75 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand or sit for an extended period of time
  • Scheduled Shift : 10am-7pm Monday - Friday (In office / No remote work) Flexibility with schedule shift preferred and available to work Overtime as needed
  • The Compensation range for this role is 21.77 to 26.00 USD per hour and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience, certifications and qualifications.
