ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Essential Functions. An individual in this role must be able to perform the following functions with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Monitors pre- and post-offer workflow queues
- Pre-qualifies applicants: reviews references/evaluations, transcripts, licensure and other position requirements
- Monitors applicant pools
- Reviews and monitors the APS jobs webpage
- Coordinates on- and off-boarding, including Group Processing
- Assists HR staffing with re-routing needs, priority hires, task cancellations, multiple vacancies
- Reviews separations of employment and assists with postings of replacement positions
- Troubleshoots workflows, processes or system issues
- Troubleshoots electronic paperwork issues
- Monitors system security/access and update permissions
- Creates and provides accountability reports for multiple departments
- Provides technical support and backup to hiring managers
- Assists in planning, developing and implementing new processes
- Troubleshoots and closes Help Desk tickets
- Updates HR webpages (internet/intranet for employment information)
- Monitors and troubleshoots SafeSchools system issues
- Monitors Smartfind Express substitute system for invoicing and system issues
- Implements district’s recruitment to source, recruit, and pre-screen candidates for all types of levels and positions
- Manage and develop all recruitment and career fairs, including local and state-wide colleges and universities as well as district-hosted job fairs
- Travels to professional events, job fairs, and conferences to recruit top talent and participates in virtual recruitment activities as needed
- Develop brochures, website features, videos and other forms of media for recruiting and positive imaging for the district.
- Research, develop, and support retention initiatives to increase the diversity of staff population
- Develops, maintains, and enriches active relationships with college and university career-teacher preparation officials and placement offices, professional associations, and other recruiting resource organizations and community partners.
- Actively research and pursue opportunities to make presentations and attend events at colleges, universities and local organizations
- Create, maintain and utilize social media accounts as well as local media (newspaper, TV, radio, internet)
- Advise all prospective employees regarding hiring needs and district hiring processes
- Implement and market the districts recruitment branding
- Collaborate with all department’s hiring managers to determine and meet the districts recruitment needs
- Reveiws and tracks statistical data on recruiting responses and results
Duties. All duties are standard and apply to all Albuquerque Public Schools employees.
- Complies with state-approved Code of Ethics of the Education Profession, APS employee handbook, employment contract and upholds and enforces rules, administrative directives and regulations, school board policies, and local, state and federal regulations.
- Articulates and facilitates the implementation of the mission and values of the Albuquerque Public Schools.
- Safeguards confidentiality of privileged information.
- Prepares and maintains accurate and complete records and reports as required by law, state directives, District policy and administrative regulations.
- Shares the responsibility for the supervision and care of District inventory, proper and safe use of facilities, equipment and supplies, and reports safety hazards promptly.
- Maintains professional relationships and works cooperatively with employees, the community and other professionals.
- Maintains professional competence through District mandated, individual and staff training, in-service educational activities and self-selected professional growth activities.
- Attends and/or conducts staff meetings and participates on committees within areas of responsibility.
- Performs other tasks related to area of responsibilities as requested or assigned by an immediate supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
Required Education, Licenses, Certifications, & Experience.
- Associate’s degree in Business, Computer or Educational related field and two years directly related knowledge and experience in a human resources generalist capacity or school-related management position or computer theory and applications, operating systems, software programs in multiple platforms, and software applications.
- OR HS Diploma/GED and four years directly related knowledge and experience.
- Three years of experience in recruiting and staffing large organizations and/or staffing a school.
- Expert knowledge of state and federal employment laws regarding recruiting, interviewing and selection.
- Highly talented in ability to recognize and develop resources, programs and other recruiting vehicles (attendance at recruiting and other activities will require extensive travel).
- Proficient with word processing, database and spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of FLSA and other employment practices regarding interviewing, employee records, termination and other personnel compliance issues.
