Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in Reno, NV , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you'll conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. This role involves interacting with the public, providing exceptional customer service, and responding to situations as needed. You will be equipped to manage security-related matters professionally, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to site protocols.
  • Maintain visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed.
  • Interact professionally with the public and / or employees, offering guidance or information as required.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as directed by Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
