Description :

This position involves providing assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

The clinician will work primarily in an outpatient pediatric setting, with possible evaluations and treatments for adult patients during weekends.

The role requires developing confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through effective communication, attentive monitoring, and competent patient assessment.

The clinician is expected to adhere to all regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.

The position involves assisting with clinical supervision of assistants and aides and serving as a clinical instructor for assigned students.

Key skills needed include proficiency in assessment and treatment of speech disorders, dysphagia, fluency disorders, and knowledge of various communication strategies.

The clinician should also possess skills in developing care plans and conducting evaluations in accordance with best practices.

Flexibility in scheduling is necessary, as the position may include occasional home health responsibilities.
