[job_card.job_description]Conduct NFPA 1582 physical examinations for firefighters Perform respirator clearance and interim firefighter clearance Review EKGs, ultrasound results, and stress tests Work alongside the team to perform clinical testing, including hearing, vision, laboratory tests, pulmonary function, cardiograms, and x-rays Complete mandatory hernia examinations; rectal exams are optional Ensure timely completion of exams (approximately one every 15 minutes) Firefighter physical or occupational medicine experience strongly preferred Must be able to read EKGs Required certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) Must hold a valid Kansas medical license Family Nurse Practitioner Certification (FNP) is listed as a required board certification Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. The assignment involves conducting NFPA 1582 physicals, respirator clearance, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team performing a range of clinical tests.
