All candidates must have 2 years of ICU experience along with PCU experience. The shift is 3x12 Days from 7 AM to 7 : 30 PM, every other weekend, and holidays as needed. It is a dual level of care unit that includes telemetry, PCU, and ICU. This unit is also a primary stroke center. The unit has 25 beds. Expected nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 5-6 on the floor side, 1 : 3 for PCU, and 1 : 2 for ICU. The most common cases seen include chest pain, strokes, respiratory failure, and sepsis.
