Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with at least two years of recent specialty experience and flexibility to work across outpatient, home health, and acute care settings.
Responsibilities
Position based in a rehabilitation department with a primary focus on outpatient therapy, with responsibilities in acute care and home health as needed8-hour day shifts from 8am to 5pm, five days per weekFloating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is requiredEPIC EMR experience is preferred, with training offered on siteEvaluate and treat a diverse patient population primarily in outpatient rehab, with additional responsibilities in acute care and home healthDevelop and implement individualized treatment programs focused on maximizing patient function and independenceCoordinate with interdisciplinary teams to establish and achieve patient discharge goalsReturnees must have at least one year separation from prior permanent employment at the facility to be eligibleFirst day orientation includes on-site training and testing requirements as applicableRequirements
Current NM Occupational Therapist license required if applicableBachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy required; Master’s degree preferredMinimum 2 years of recent experience in outpatient, home health, and acute careBLS certification required through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red CrossAt least one previous 13-week travel assignment requiredNo local candidates; must reside at least 50 miles from the facilityBenefits
