LVN - Pediatrics

looking for Mon- 3pm-8pm, Tues- 8am-12p & 3pm-8pm Wed-Flexible or 3pm-8pm, Thur- 8am-12p & 3pm-8pm, Fri- 8am-12p & 3pm-8pm (more hours available on weekend if needed)Super PRN LVN- 2 Fridays (Usually) a month for med refills and sub Q injection.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities include following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working collaboratively with the members of the team to help meet positive patient care outcomes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Furnishes services in accordance with agency policies
• Prepares clinical and progress notes
• Prepares equipment and materials for treatments observing aseptic techniques as required
• Assists the patient, parent, family in learning appropriate self-care techniques as required
• Provides services within agency service area as scheduled
• Informs the Pediatric RN Supervisor of changes in the patient's condition, immediately
• Counsels the patient, parent in meeting nursing and related needs
• Participates in in-service programs
• Receives orders from physician or his representative according to policy
• Orientation of co-workers
• Other assigned duties as desired by the DCS and Director of Pediatric Operations
