Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and manage surgery schedules, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Verify patient information and insurance coverage prior to scheduling procedures.
• Utilize Epic EMR to maintain accurate records and streamline scheduling processes.
• Communicate effectively with patients, surgeons, and healthcare staff to confirm schedules and resolve any conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures during the scheduling process.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize scheduling and resource allocation.
• Provide patients with pre-operative instructions and ensure they are well-informed about their procedures.
• Handle last-minute changes or emergencies with professionalism and efficiency.
• Work closely with insurance providers to confirm coverage for surgical procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while handling sensitive patient information.
• Proven experience in patient scheduling within a healthcare environment.
• Ability to verify medical insurance coverage and navigate insurance processes.
• Proficiency in using Epic EMR for scheduling and record management.
• Familiarity with surgical procedures and terminology.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare staff, and insurance providers.
