ESN is seeking a Computer System Analyst III (Cybersecurity Technical Writer) to support a contract with Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC), Atlantic, in Norfolk, VA. The contract to support NIWC LANT consists of Independent Validation & Verification, Operations, Sustainment, and Installation support. The Maintenance Figure of Merit (MFOM) systems provide near real-time material-based readiness reporting to the Defense Readiness Reporting System-Navy (DRRS-N) and provides three additional primary capabilities to the Fleet including Ashore and Afloat systems. This support includes automated software testing, Scrum Master support, operating in the AWS Cloud, management of JIRA / Confluence, Cyber compliance, and project support.

Located on site in Chesapeake, VA.

Duties :

• Develop and maintain RMF documentation, including System Security Plans, Plan of Action, and Milestone (POA&M) mitigation statements, control implementation statements, and required supporting artifacts.
• Create and update network authorization boundary diagrams, system architecture diagrams, and data flow diagrams that accurately represent system components, ports & protocols, interfaces, communication paths, and external connections.
• Interpret and document NIST SP 800-53 security controls (Rev 4 or Rev 5), ensuring implementation statements are complete, technically accurate, and aligned with the system's actual design and configurations.
• Collaborate closely with engineers, developers, network architects, administrators, and system owners to gather the technical input required to accurately document controls and system behaviors.
• Schedule is Monday through Friday with some weekend support required.
• Performs other duties and works schedules as assigned by management, which may include changes to duties, responsibilities, or work hours as required to meet contractual obligations, mission requirements, or the needs of the organization.
