About the Role Hinge Health is a digital health company delivering evidence-based solutions for musculoskeletal (MSK) pain. By combining personalized exercise therapy with virtual care, we empower individuals to manage and reduce chronic painimproving quality of life and reducing healthcare costs. With the launch of HingeSelect, we're integrating digital and in-person care for improved outcomes and a better member experience. This is a new 0?1 initiative where you'll help forge a new business line from the ground up. You'll manage and grow a team of 5+ engineers, guide the technical vision and roadmap, and stay close to the code through reviews and occasional contributions (~15%). We enjoy a continuous deployment DevOps culture, and take owner-operator pride in supporting our code in production. Our stack includes Go, gRPC, Temporal, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, PostgreSQL, Redis, Node.js / TypeScript (NestJS), GraphQL, React, and React Native. Our workflow is trunk-based CI / CD, and our security / compliance posture is at the highest standards of healthcare, including HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, and CCPA.

What You'll Accomplish Manage the engineering team responsible for the HingeSelect virtual care experience. Partner with Product and Design to translate concepts into shipped featuresclarify requirements, iterate quickly, and sweat the details Develop seamless member experiences and intuitive tools for specialists to conduct visits, document encounters, and collaborate with care teams. Leverage AI for clinical note generation, quality monitoring, and automated workflows. Build a high-performing team through coaching and mentorship while fostering a collaborative, inclusive culture. Support hiring and resource planning with a focus on technical excellence, developer velocity, and long-term team health.

Hinge Health Hybrid Model We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and we want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Employees in hybrid roles are required to be in the office 3 days per week, for the full 8 hours of a typical business day. The San Francisco office has a dog-friendly workplace program.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field 8+ years of experience in technology, with focus on on SaaS products and large-scale, complex systems 2+ years of experience managing a team of 5+ engineers 4+ years of programming experience in React, Golang, Node.js, TypeScript, or similar languages

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience building telehealth products and multi-sided network platforms Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2, CCPA) Experience with AI technologies for software design and coding assistance

Compensation This position will have an annual salary, plus equity and benefits. Please note the annual salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. The annual salary range for this position is $250,800 - $376,200.
