Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Hawaiian Falls Waterparks
Position Summary EMTs provide emergency medical care and basic first aid to guests and team members. EMTs respond to medical incidents throughout the park and assist with maintaining a safe environment. This position requires a high level of professionalism, sound judgment, and excellent guest service skills.
Minimum Requirements: - Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess and maintain a current Texas EMT-B (or higher) certification
- Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs.
- Must maintain current CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross - Healthcare Provider)
Essential Functions - Respond to medical emergencies and provide emergency medical and first aid care in accordance with local, state, and national standards.
- Assess injuries and illnesses, administer appropriate treatment, and complete required documentation.
- Perform daily inspections of medical, safety, and rescue equipment.
- Report safety hazards and incidents to appropriate personnel.
- Participate in scheduled training sessions, drills, and in-service education.
- Respond to calls for assistance throughout the park.
- Provide professional, compassionate, and guest-focused service at all times.
- Make sound decisions in high-pressure and time-sensitive situations.
Qualifications - At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR (Healthcare Provider) certification.
- Current Texas EMT-B (or higher) certification in good standing.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to follow instructions, apply logical reasoning, and solve problems.
- Willingness to comply with grooming guidelines, safety procedures, and employment standards.
- Ability to successfully complete all company, legal, and departmental training and certification requirements.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements - Ability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and sun.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry at least 50 pounds of equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to bend, reach, kneel, and respond quickly to emergency situations.
- Ability to consistently practice safe work habits, including proper lifting techniques and use of personal protective equipment.
