Material Handler

Location : Sterling Heights - Merrill Road, MI, 48314

Job Description :

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Material Handler to join our team at USF in Sterling Heights. The Material Handler will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout the warehouse, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse setting, be able to lift heavy objects, and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities :

  • Move materials throughout the warehouse using hand trucks, forklifts, and other equipment
  • Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by performing regular counts and reconciling discrepancies
  • Ensure all materials are stored in designated locations and are easily accessible
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines at all times

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Forklift certification is a plus
