Executive Creative Director
ICF is looking for an enthusiastic Executive Creative Director, part-visionary, part-realist, and entirely creative. At ICF Next, we're looking for someone to lead a high-performing creative organization that delivers bold, strategic, and human-centered solutions across both government and commercial clients and who's also deeply loyal to mentoring and developing their highly talented creative team. This leader will oversee creative strategy, team development, and operational excellence for a 150+ person creative group spanning design, content, motion, and multimedia.
Job Location : This position requires that the job be performed in the United States. If you accept this position, you should note that ICF does monitor employee work locations and blocks access from foreign locations / foreign IP addresses, and also prohibits personal VPN connections.
You may be asked to travel at least 10% to an ICF office or client site. Our core work hours are 10am - 4pm Eastern Time with the option to start earlier or work later depending on your time zone.
What You Will Do :
- Set and articulate the creative vision for the organization, ensuring consistency, innovation, and impact across government and commercial portfolios.
- Champion a culture of creative excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
- Manage, mentor and cultivate career development for the team, including designers, art directors, copywriters, production artists and developers at various experience levels. Knowing when to lead and when to listen.
- Always ensure visual communication is consistent and brand standards are met.
- Review work and provide constructive feedback. Challenge teams to find creative solutions that are always rooted in insights.
- Talk through and comfortably present campaign strategies and solutions to clients and / or upper management. Lead and / or support client pitches and proposals.
- Oversee team utilization, profitability, deliverables, timelines and budgets. All the while remaining flexible, yet firm.
- Remain involved in hiring and onboarding new hires, along with determining appropriate workloads among the creative team.
- Keep clients informed by compiling, analyzing, and reporting results; forwarding plan projections and updates.
What You Will Bring With You :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.20+ years of proven experience leading creative teams, including managing and developing people.10+ years' experience with health, safety, and social industry experience.10+ years' experience with leading strategy for public awareness and education campaigns.Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Public TrustCandidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.What We Would Like You To Bring With You :
