Title : Credentialing Specialist

Location : Summit, NJ 07901, and Hackettstown, NJ 07840

Schedule : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM.

Duration : 13 weeks with a high possibility of extension

Pay Rate : $27 - $30 / Hr W2

Job Description

The Credentialing Specialist ensures all healthcare providers meet regulatory, organizational, and accreditation standards. This role processes high-volume credentialing applications, verifies provider qualifications, and maintains accurate records in the Echo database.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review 125-200 initial and reappointment applications quarterly.
• Verify education, training, licensure, certifications, malpractice history, and work experience.
• Maintain provider records in Echo; track license and certification expirations.
• Prepare credentialing files for Credentials Committee, MEC, and Board of Trustees meetings.
• Ensure compliance with federal / state regulations, bylaws, and standards such as TJC / NCQA.
• Coordinate with providers, medical staff offices, HR, and insurance networks.
• Maintain confidentiality and support medical staff meeting scheduling and minutes.
