Summary : Responsible for the successful security surveillance review, communication, and deployment of security officers as necessary to respond to calls for aid and / or other assistance, as dictated during the course of a normal shift. Reviews and records footage requests.
Essential Functions :
- Watches cameras and monitors for surveillance within the scope of Security responsibility.
- Using digital recording equipment, downloads footage as needed and / or requested
- Works closely with property Surveillance department to track suspicious and / or unusual activity
- Reports suspicious and / or unusual to property Security employee(s) for further investigation
- Capture and print photos from the monitoring system
- Remain up to date and completely familiar with the property layout and locations of various alarm systems
- Direct responding units immediately to the location of an active alarm(s)
- Working knowledge of the smoke control panels, in the event that manual operation is required
- Works closely with law enforcement and courts in responding to subpoenas
- Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
- Works closely with Risk Management and Human Resources departments assisting with investigations
- Assist with Casino Security Officer job duties, as needed
Requirements :
Qualifications / Requirements :
At least one year of casino security, law enforcement, surveillance, military or EMT experienceExperience with or ability to read and understand all tabular status display monitors for all elevators in the event of an emergencyExcellent guest service skillsProven experience using sound judgment and making appropriate decisions during challenging situations and / or interacting with challenging patronsWorking knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications preferredAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and ability to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to effectively communicate in small and large group situations, as well as one-on-one, including all local, state, and private agencies in regard to the functions of the Life / Safety system and related equipmentAbility to effectively communicate in English and via portable radiosBe familiar with all laws and codes of the Uniform Fire Code, as well as the authority having jurisdiction (Las Vegas Fire Department). This is critical during an alarm and relative to the proper and timely notification of aboveHave the ability to remain calm during an emergency situation in order to properly coordinate activities from the Fire Command CenterAt least 21 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredRequired Work Cards :
