D.H. Griffin Companies is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team in Atlanta, GA. As a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy equipment, ensuring the safety and longevity of our fleet. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance checks on company-owned and / or leased vehicles and equipment
- Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate vehicle / equipment parts as necessary
- Examine and repair hydraulic components for fluid leaks, ruptured hoses, or worn gaskets
- Travel to job sites to make repairs to heavy equipment as necessary
- Use diagnostic devices to identify components in need of adjustment or repair
- Rebuild or replace engines, repair hydraulic fluid pumps, and correct electrical problems as needed
- Work in various environments, including hot and cold temperatures
- Complete repair orders and use e-log / log book
