Job Summary :
We are delighted to announce that we are offering a Direct Hire Traveler Program for experienced nurses! This program offers premium rates and the chance for you to utilize your nursing skills in targeted specialties within South County Health. Experienced OR Travel RNs will commit to a 13-week float assignment, 36 hours / week.
Coordinates total nursing care for patients while in the perioperative setting. Provides leadership by working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary approach in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice. Organizational and analytical skills necessary. Must possess a level of interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, hospital staff and providers to direct team members to ensure positive patient outcomes.
South County Health respects staff work / life balances. Operating Room RNs participate in call one to two times per six-week scheduling block. Minimal call requirements include a rotation on Friday night, all day Saturday and Sunday.
Minimum Qualifications :
Graduate of an Accredited School or College of Nursing; BSN preferred.
Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island
BLS from American Heart Association, ACLS certification preferred.
Previous OR experience preferred; ability to scrub is a plus.
Willing to train candidates interested in working in Surgical Services for a Perioperative 101 program upon signature of the South County Health training contract.
