Project Engineer

Responsibilities :

• Offers guidance, provides project milestones, communications, and facilitation to the cross-functional team for engineering projects related to new business development and existing design / material change management
• Tracks, monitors, and manages projects through providing schedules throughout the Product Life Cycle and applying relevant methodologies
• Manages internal and external supplier relationships to ensure completion of projects and milestones that stay within defined budget
• Collects prototype submissions and new launch production documentation from internal and external suppliers
• Vets customer prototype and production submissions through the Quality department
• Coordinates with Product Engineering, Quality, and Metrology departments during prototype kick-off to determine equipment measurements, techniques, and product layout
• Identifies and manages the resolution of deviations from the quote / contract or defined project agreement, while determining risks
• Ensures the product is launched on-time, at or under budget, and with consideration to material cost
• Serves as primary interface to the customer, with support from the cross-functional team, through providing updates and tracking reports
• Communicates variances in project budgets, plans, and schedules with Product Marketing and Management
