Deputy City Manager / Chief Of Staff
The City of College Park, Maryland, is seeking an exceptional municipal executivean experienced professionalwho excels in all aspects of municipal operations to serve as one of two senior executives reporting directly to the City Manager. This position is a key member of the City's executive leadership team, presenting a significant opportunity to work closely with the City Manager in guiding the organization.
The Deputy City Manager / Chief of Staff plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of city functions and has the ability to make a meaningful impact on the community. This executive-level role requires a proactive, solutions-oriented approach and a strong commitment to public service.
The Deputy City Manager / Chief of Staff will support the City Manager by overseeing daily operations and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and programs that promote the City's growth. Acting as a bridge between staff and executive leadership, the successful candidate will bring strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, effectively blending strategic vision with operational execution to advance the City's mission and goals.
Additionally, the Deputy City Manager / Chief of Staff will assist in preparing and managing the City's annual budget, as well as in developing and overseeing the strategic plan.

This is a full-time, exempt position. The starting salary ranges from $150,000 to $165,000, depending on qualifications. The city offers a generous benefits package, including Maryland State Retirement.
