Job Description

As a Security Officer - Flex Access Control in HOUSTON, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. Learn more : aus.com / earnmore. As an Allied Universal Security Officer, you will play a key role in access control at a chemical or petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and helping to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing excellent customer service while supporting a secure environment. Pay Rate : $14.00 / Hour

DayTimeMon10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Provide customer service by addressing questions and concerns from visitors, employees, and contractors at access control points.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at access points in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual activity observed during shift.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and emergency responders during emergency response activities as necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access-controlled areas and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
