Job Title : Warehouse Worker Job Description

The primary responsibility of a warehouse worker is to efficiently receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.

Responsibilities

• Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, investigating discrepancies, or adjusting errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep records on the use and / or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

Work Environment

The position operates during Shift 3, working Friday to Sunday from 9 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM and Mondays from 11 : 00 AM to 9 : 00 PM. The role involves working in a warehouse setting with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Old Lyme, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.75 - $23.75 / hr.
