Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week travel assignment in a dynamic operating room environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across multiple surgical specialties and be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.

Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient case flow.

Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment safely and effectively.

Assist in preparing operating rooms, including setup for various specialties.

Ensure strict adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.

Collaborate with surgeons, RNs, and anesthesia providers to deliver exceptional patient care.

Accurately document and maintain surgical records as required.

Additional Details

Schedule : 4x10-hour day shifts, 11 : 00 AM–9 : 30 PM.

Weekends / Call : May vary based on unit needs.

Scrub Color : Navy and white combination.

Locals : Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility.

Requirements

Qualifications

Certification : CST certification required (unless candidate has prior NY surgical tech experience before 2015).

Experience : Minimum 2 years of recent surgical technologist experience.

Specialty Experience Required : Orthopedics, total joints / hip replacements, neuro, robotics, thoracic, and vascular.

Charting : EPIC experience preferred.

Travel Experience : Not required (first-time travelers welcome).

Licensure : Must meet New York State requirements prior to start.
