Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer ideal candidate has significant experience and background in Electrical Engineering / design capable of executing the core responsibilities listed below.

Responsibilities:

• Support medium scope projects through the detail design and implementation phase. This includes development of BOM generation, electrical control panel phasing plans, Electrical Engineering work plans, and design approval packages
• Supporting Project Engineer during transition from Detailed Design to Final Engineering
• Reviewing and providing Electrical Engineering input to Description of Operation (DOO) & Functional Specification (FSD) documentation
• Providing Electrical Engineering input for implementation plan
• Developing Electrical Engineering work plan to ensure successful project milestone achievements
• Leading Controls Layout review meetings with internal teams and Client. Supporting Project Engineer to achieve design acceptance
• Electrical device layout package
• Control panel fabrication package
• Electrical installation package
• Attending Client meetings as required
• Utilizing AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical for drawings

Qualifications:

• 4-year engineering degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar engineering program) from an accredited college plus 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Conveyor control process experience (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drive, line scanner, print and apply application)
• Advanced collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal communication)
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Promis-e, or E-Plan for electrical design

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience managing Engineering projects requiring collaboration between multiple Engineering work streams
• UL, NEC, NFPA, OSHA design requirements
• 480VAC motor control panel design experience
• Strong comprehension of Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet IP, network design and requirements
