Helfrich & Associates, in-house counsel for State Farm, announces the 2026 Summer Intern Program for the Summit, New Jersey, Claims Litigation Counsel office. Claims Litigation Counsel attorneys defend State Farm and its customers who have been sued. Summer interns work with attorneys on assigned projects, attend case events, and observe every phase of the litigation process. They benefit from mentoring throughout the summer, gain a balanced and realistic understanding of the function of Claims Litigation Counsel, and develop real-world civil litigation skills. This full-time internship runs from 6 / 1 / 26 through 8 / 7 / 26. The Summer Intern selected will also receive a $2,000 Intern Stipend. We work in a hybrid environment with required presence in the office along with some time working remotely. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs. Located in Summit, New Jersey, we enjoy an active civil trial practice throughout North New Jersey. We provide a congenial and team-oriented professional work environment with skilled support staff. Qualifications 2L students currently enrollment in an ABA accredited law school and remain enrolled for the duration of the internship. Strong academic credentials preferred. Strong research skills including familiarity with Lexis preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Pay : $35 / hour. In addition, interns selected for our summer internship program will be eligible for a $2,000 stipend! Work Arrangement : HYBRID - Selected interns should plan to spend time working from home and some time working in the office as part of our hybrid work environment.
