Mainframe IMS Database Engineer

Were looking for an IMS Database Engineer with strong expertise in IMS upgrades database object management and ISV product installations to help maintain and optimize our mainframe database environment. Youll play a key role in configuration SYSGEN processes and customer transitions as part of a collaborative and fast-moving team.

Job Responsibilities :

• Experience working within an IMS database environment.
• Familiarity with mainframe functional areas such as z / OS operating system storage databases CICS and disaster recovery concepts.
• Experience in IMS V15.5 or later upgrade with SMP / E.
• Experience in ISV products includes but is not limited to CA database tools IBM database tools sysview omegamon and mainview.
• Experience in IMS database objects logical unit definitions and IMS commands.
• Expert in IMS configuration like SYSGEN PSBGEN and subsystem configuration.
• Will serve as the primary technical contact for the mainframe database for one or more customers during the transition.

Experience level :

12 years of professional work experience as an IMS Mainframe System Programmer.

Technical key skills (Mandatory skills) :

Expertise in performing SMP / E and Non-SMPE Installation of ISV products.

Expertise in IMS V15.5 or later upgrade.

Mastery of IMS Database objects PSB ACB and SYSGEN process.

Participate in OP monthly team meetings and participate in team-building efforts.

Contribute to OP technical discussions peer reviews etc.

Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki / Knowledge Base.

Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
