$10,000 SIGN-ON Bonus and $2,000 SIGN-ON Bonus for PM Shifts available. We provide innovative care across various specialties, and your role as a Surgical Technologist will be crucial in delivering exceptional care.
Major Responsibilities :
Ensure a clean, safe and efficient surgical environment, using aseptic techniques for setting up and maintaining a sterile field for procedures.Assist in various surgical procedures while maintaining awareness of instruments and supplies.Prepare the operating room by setting up equipment and ensuring cleanliness and readiness for surgery.Function as a Second Assistant when necessary.Notify staff about any equipment or supply issues promptly.Transport patients and manage equipment as required.Maintain specialty carts and ensure all items are accounted for and in working condition.Support with patient positioning and moving in accordance with safe practices.Demonstrate knowledge appropriate to the ages of the patients served and adapt care based on their needs.Licensure, Registration, and / or Certification Required :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required within 6 months unless otherwise specified.Education Required :
Completion of an accredited or approved Surgical Technology program.Experience Required :
No prior experience necessary.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required :
Understanding of aseptic techniques and equipment used in surgery.Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.Basic proficiency in computer skills.Commitment to maintaining required certifications and education.Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :
Ability to thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.Physical capacity to lift, carry, and move patients and equipment as needed, using proper techniques.Exposure to various hazards typical in a surgical setting; must wear proper protective equipment.Capacity to perform a range of movements, including standing, walking, and lifting throughout shifts.This job description reflects the essential duties and responsibilities expected from the role.
