About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Low-Voltage Installation Technician to join our team. This role involves installing and routing cabling for alarm systems, fire alarm devices, surveillance cameras, access control systems, and gate operator equipment. The position includes both indoor and outdoor work and may require the use of minor construction tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, pull, route, terminate, and label various types of low-voltage cabling (alarm, fire, CCTV, access control, and gate operators).
- Install devices such as cameras, panels, readers, keypads, sensors, and related equipment.
- Work outdoors when installing gate operators, exterior cameras, buried conduit, and pole-mounted equipment.
- Operate small tools and equipment including drills, saws, ladders, lifts, trenchers, and post-hole diggers (as needed).
- Follow company standards, safety guidelines, and applicable codes.
- Maintain jobsite cleanliness, organization, and accurate documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members.
Qualifications
Experience with low-voltage wiring preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.Ability to read and follow basic diagrams, instructions, and site layouts.Comfortable working outdoors, in attics / crawl spaces, on ladders, and occasionally in tight spaces.Able to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.Must be reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded.Must be able to pass a background checkMust be able to pass a drug test and routine screening.Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in alarm, fire, CCTV, access control, or gate operator installations.Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, or low-voltage installation standards.Any relevant certifications (OSHA, manufacturer training, etc.).What We Offer
