Description

Our Client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Manager who is passionate about precision and compliance. If you thrive in overseeing accounting functions, leading financial reporting efforts, and maintaining rigorous standards of accuracy, this Accounting Manager opportunity could be your next career move.

We're seeking a professional with 2-5+ years of accounting experience in construction or restoration environments, along with some leadership experience. The right candidate will be adept at handling job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, subcontractor invoicing, and project-level financial oversight while upholding meticulous recordkeeping and robust internal controls.

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, job costing, and general ledger oversight
  • Execute timely and accurate month-end and year-end close procedures with complete financial statement preparation
  • Create and uphold internal controls, accounting procedures, and organizational best practices
  • Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and account reconciliation workflows
  • Review and authorize journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting documents
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers to maintain precise job costing, billing accuracy, and proper documentation
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to boost efficiency and precision

    • Qualifications

  • 2-5+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in construction, restoration, or similar project-focused sectors
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience
  • Solid grasp of job costing principles, WIP reporting, subcontractor billing procedures, and project accounting workflows
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, complex formulas, data manipulation)
  • Experience using accounting platforms (Sage 100 Contractor is a plus); knowledge of industry-specific tools like DASH, Xactimate, or Encircle is beneficial
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail, with proven capacity to juggle competing priorities in dynamic settings
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across all departments
  • Unwavering dedication to accuracy, confidentiality, and deadline adherence

    • Compensation

    $70,000 - $80,000 annually
