BronxWorks Afterschool offers high quality programs that have a strong balance of academics recreation enrichment and cultural activities to support and strengthen the overall development of youths. BronxWorks Afterschool aims to help young people build skills to support their academic achievement raise their confidence and cultivate their leadership skills through service learning and other civic engagement opportunities.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Supervision of Children

• Responsible for the consistent and safe supervision of children and youth in grades K8 maintaining required teacher-to-child ratios (1 : 10 for ages 59 and 1 : 15 for ages 10 and up).
• Conduct and document daily attendance headcount checks at the start end and intermittently throughout the day.
• Ensures accurate real-time knowledge of the number of children in care and their whereabouts during all program activities and transitions.
