Admitting Specialist
Hours : Overnight 11pm - 7 : 30 AM, every other weekend-2 days / 8 hours
Reporting to the Access & Financial Engagement Supervisor, and under direct supervision, the Admitting Specialist is responsible for registering patients prior to admission to the Dana-Farber Inpatient Hospital. These functions include, but are not limited to, collecting demographic and insurance information, confirming insurance eligibility, verifying benefits, and obtaining signatures for consents and admissions documents. In addition, with direct supervision, the Admitting Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of assigned work queues. This role requires a commitment to service excellence, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a knowledge of the overall financial policies and procedures at DFCI.

With direct supervision, the Admitting Specialist :
Minimum Education : High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum Experience : 0 years of experience required; 1 year of customer service or hospital / physician office registration or admissions experience preferred.
