What would you be doing as a Maintenance Technician?
The Maintenance Technician will perform a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks on facility equipment and property systems.
But what does this role really do?
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on machinery, HVAC
- systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and building structures.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls.
- Schedule, coordinate and oversee onsite work performed by external vendors, including scheduling, access and completion of service tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent.
- Ensure tools and equipment are in safe working condition.
- Assist with the installation of new machinery or systems when needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Support other departments with maintenance-related needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
You would be a great fit if you have the following...
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification a plus.2+ years of experience in maintenance or related role.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems.Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Ability to work independently or a part of a Team.Familiar with safety practices and regulatory compliance (OSHA).Good communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments.Certification in HV AC, electrical, or plumbing preferred.Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) preferred.
