Vice President of Sales – SoftEye – San Diego / Bay Area, CA
Base Pay Range
$250,000 / yr – $300,000 / yr
SoftEye is seeking a Vice President of Sales to define and lead the global revenue engine behind our augmented reality (AR) platform. This executive role shapes how AR adoption accelerates across enterprise customers, OEM partners, and the broader spatial ecosystem.
This position is central to SoftEye's coordinated global go-to-market expansion. As we scale our AR platform across U.S. and international markets, the leader will drive multi-year sales execution, build a high-performance sales organization, and guide how customers adopt integrated AR systems that combine near-eye displays, spatial sensors, perception software, system software, and embedded compute.
Owner of revenue strategy, forge high-stakes partnerships, and represent SoftEye's AR platform to C-suite leaders across the ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Define global AR sales strategy across hardware, perception software, system layers, and platform solutions
- Lead multi-year planning, forecasting, and pipeline development across enterprise and OEM segments
- Close complex strategic deals involving AR components, licensing, integrations, and long-term ecosystem partnerships
- Build and scale a high-performance sales organization across AEs, partner leaders, and technical sellers
- Drive enterprise, OEM, and platform-level AR sales cycles from early evangelism to repeatable expansion
- Partner with Product, Engineering, BD, and Marketing to align customer needs with platform direction and roadmap
- Represent SoftEye's AR platform at executive briefings, partner meetings, industry events, and analyst engagements
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in enterprise, OEM, or platform sales, with 5+ years in senior leadership rolesBachelor's degree required; MBA or technical graduate degree preferredProven track record selling AR / XR or spatial computing technologies, including perception software, sensors, near-eye displays, optical systems, embedded compute, or system-level hardware-software ecosystemsExperience leading complex AR enterprise or OEM sales cycles with multi-million-dollar outcomesStrong ability to explain and sell AR integrated systems involving displays, sensors, compute, perception stacks, and developer toolsExecutive-level communication skills and success engaging CEOs, CTOs, engineering leaders, and strategic AR ecosystem partnersAbility to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with evolving AR product definitionsPreferred Qualifications
Experience building and scaling AR sales organizations or global GTM teamsBackground working closely with engineering and product teams on AR system architecturesTechnical degree or hands-on experience with AR hardware-software platformsExperience shaping AR platform direction based on customer insights and ecosystem trendsCompensation and Benefits
The annual base salary range for this role is $250,000–$300,000, with the final offer based on experience, qualifications, and scope. Total compensation may include equity, variable bonuses, long-term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
