ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Omaha, Nebraska.

Opportunity : RN - Stepdown

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour day shifts from 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM or night shifts from 6 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • Nurse to patient ratios of 1 : 4, or 1 : 3 for post-surgical patients in first 24 hours
  • 18-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) supporting intermediate care and downgraded CVICU patients
  • Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Must have 1 year of experience with this patient population
  • Required to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Nicardipine, Epinephrine, Cardizem, and blood pressure management medications
  • Care for patients with cardiac and vascular diagnoses including Cath Lab procedures, CVAs, CHF, A fib RVR
  • Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
  • Floating requirements to all same level and lower acuity units
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Artificial nails prohibited - refusal to remove will result in contract termination
  • Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% or higher
  • Unit-specific orientation tailored to needs and experience, typically 1-2 shifts
  • Must live outside 50-mile radius and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities
  • EPIC charting system
  • Work with respiratory therapy equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and Nasal Cannula

    This Level 1 trauma center operates as a comprehensive healthcare facility providing advanced cardiac and vascular services. The facility features a specialized cardiovascular unit that heavily supports thoracic programs, electrophysiology, cardiac catheterization lab, and structural heart procedures. The organization maintains 24 / 7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage with cardiology on-call services, along with round-the-clock respiratory therapy support and remote telemetry monitoring capabilities.
