Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks a Special Education Teacher with experience supporting K-2 students with autism in an elementary school setting. The assignment runs from January 5, 2026, through June 11, 2026, and is a part-time contract position with on-site work only in Henderson, NC.
Qualifications and Desired Experience :
- Licensed in Early Childhood (Birth to Kindergarten)
- fortable and confident working with moderate to severe autism in young children, primarily grades 1-2
- Experience managing a caseload of 7-8 students with a bination of verbal and nonverbal munication abilities
- Ability to collaborate within a team environment alongside teacher assistants
