About The Position

Observation RN

Registered Nurse

Night Shift

3x12 Hours

Minimum 1 year of experience required

WA license or COMPACT license required

BLS certification required

Description :

Floating is required.

Travelers regularly float between various like units, within skill set.

Position : Observation RN

Shift : 3x12 or 4x12 HR options are available.

Ratios : 1 : 4 during days; 1 : 5 during nights; 1 : 5 on weekends.

First-time travelers are accepted.

Weekend requirements include working every other weekend.

No on-call requirements at this time.

Special requirements include experience with surgical procedures requiring overnight stays, procedural observation patients, medical observation patients, some medical inpatient, and some long length of stay patients.

The unit has diverse diagnoses including long length of stay patients who are awaiting placement.

Patients may require heavy care and assistance, such as medication administration in applesauce or pudding.

Most patients are incontinent and may have behavioral issues.

Assessments for patients occur weekly, with daily skin checks and mobility screenings.

There is a dining room for patients to eat meals, engage in activities, and build relationships with other patients.

The goal is to help patients reach their baseline or better to facilitate placement in adult family homes or long-term care facilities.

Special equipment includes lifts for every bed and mobility equipment.

The facility provides interdisciplinary support, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.

Ideal candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to meet facility scheduling needs.

Secure housing prior to acceptance and be aware of the local cost of living.

Compliance with all onboarding items is required before starting.
